Regatta Checklist

Generate station-by-station boat packing lists and merged equipment totals from your fleet size, mark layout and officiating rules, with one-click Excel export.

1. Configure classes, working boats and mark counts

The Regatta Preparation tool (/prep) calculates required race management equipment instantly without requiring login. Adjust the top parameters to recalculate station lists and item totals in real time:

  1. 01
    【Classes】
Determines the required sets of class flags, start recording clipboards, and fleet identification gear.
  2. 02
    【Single Marks & Gates】
Note that 1 Gate = 2 physical buoys and 2 sets of ground tackle. For example, 2 single marks + 1 leeward gate automatically calculates tackle and pumps for 4 buoys.
  3. 03
    【Jury Boats】
Calculates per-boat officiating kits including protest/yellow flags, whistles, voice recorders, and rulebooks.

2. Select course and officiating equipment options

Toggle the following seven scenario options based on your Notice of Race (NoR) and Sailing Instructions (SI) to append specialized flags, sound signals and instruments to the right boats:

  1. 01
    【Separate Finish Vessel】
Separate finish vessel, finish mark, and blue flag. When off, start and pin vessels share finish line duty.
  2. 02
    【Shore Signal Station】
Shore signal flags, halyards, notice board, and VHF radio.
  3. 03
    【Handheld GPS】
Handheld GPS for RC boats; mobile phones with GPS can substitute when off.
  4. 04
    【Flag C & Leg Change】
Flag C with red/green direction and +/- length boards to alter the next leg.
  5. 05
    【O / R Flags】
Flags O and R when class rules or SIs govern pumping/propulsion.
  6. 06
    【Rule 42 (Yellow Flag)】
Yellow Rule 42 hand flags for jury boats when governing propulsion rules.
  7. 07
    【Direct On-Water Jury】
Red, black, and green/white hand flags for each jury boat.

3. View 1: Pack by boat and station

Select the "Packing by Station" view to group items by Signal Boat, Finish Boat, Mark Boats, Safety Boats, Jury Boats and Race Office. Filter to one station at a time to pack each boat's waterproof equipment crate.

4. View 2: Check merged totals by category

Select "Equipment Totals" to merge identical items across all stations into a single quantity with station breakdowns—ideal for warehouse inventory checks and pre-event procurement.

5. Search, filter and export Excel spreadsheets

Filter by keyword, station or category, then click "Export Excel" to download an `.xls` spreadsheet containing item names, quantities, units, stations, purposes and preparation notes—ready to print and tape onto equipment crates.

6. Data persistence and scope

Configuration stays in the current browser page (opening in-page help preserves your inputs, while refreshing resets to defaults). Always export your final `.xls` checklist and include the event name and date in the filename.
