Starting Timer
Calculate RRS 26 5-4-1-0 start signal sequences, mark/finish time limits, closing windows and protest deadlines from your warning signal time.
1. Enter warning signal time & RRS 26 sequence
The Starting Timer (/timer) is a standalone calculator for signal-boat timers and recorders. Enter the Warning Signal time to calculate every flag and sound stage in the standard RRS 26 five-minute sequence:
- 01【Quick Numeric Input】Enter 4 digits (HHMM, e.g. `1030` for 10:30:00) or 6 digits (HHMMSS, e.g. `103015`). Incomplete inputs display `--:--:--`; tap Clear to reset.
- 02【RRS 26 Signal Sequence (Example: 10:30:00 Warning)】①-5 min (10:30:00): Warning Signal — Class flag up, 1 sound;②-4 min (10:31:00): Preparatory Signal — P / I / Z / U / Black flag up, 1 sound;③-1 min (10:34:00): One-Minute — Preparatory flag down, 1 long sound;④0 min (10:35:00): Starting Signal — Class flag down, 1 sound.

2. Time limits, finishing window and protest deadline
Below the start sequence, the tool calculates five race-management deadlines from the Start time, First Finisher time and Last Finisher time:
- 01【Offsets from Start Time】①Start Line Close:Start + 4 min;②Mark 1 Time Limit:Start + 25 min;③Race Time Limit:Start + 60 min.
- 02【Offsets from First & Last Finisher】①Finishing Window Close:First finisher + 10 min;②Protest Time Limit:Last finisher + 40 min.

3. Field usage and clock synchronization notes
The sticky top clock reads your device system time (ensure network/GPS time sync is active across the race committee team) and stays visible while scrolling. The calculator does not play audio horn signals automatically. Opening the menu or help modal preserves your current entries.
